TRAVIS

I’m Travis, a Computer Science major at UCLA from Los Angeles who enjoys technology, gaming, music, anime, K-dramas, sports, traveling, working out, and online communities.

As a Computer Science major, I have experience with Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. I enjoy learning new technologies, improving my programming skills, and using code to turn ideas into real projects.

I’m Vietnamese and Korean, and I’m fluent in English, Korean, and Vietnamese. I enjoy learning more about both cultures, traveling, exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and making new memories. I also really enjoy working out and staying active.

I’m a huge FC Barcelona fan and have supported the club for years. Lionel Messi is my GOAT, and my current favorite player is Lamine Yamal. I also support the Spain National Team and the Korean National Team and enjoy following international football.

I’m a big basketball fan as well. Stephen Curry is my GOAT and one of my biggest inspirations in basketball. My current favorite player is Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs, and I enjoy watching games and following the NBA.

Gaming is another big hobby of mine. I enjoy playing Roblox, Minecraft, NBA 2K, EA Sports FC/FIFA, Forza Horizon 6, and Red Dead Redemption 2. I’m also a huge Final Fantasy fan, especially Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Music is a huge part of what I enjoy. I’m a big K-pop fan, with ENHYPEN and BABYMONSTER being my favorite groups. Sunghoon and Ahyeon are my biases. Outside of K-pop, some of my favorite artists include Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Lil Tecca, Juice WRLD, Tate McRae, and The Kid LAROI. I enjoy discovering new music, listening to different genres, and keeping up with my favorite artists.

I also enjoy playing electric guitar. I love learning and practicing every day, especially working on songs that I already enjoy listening to. Guitar gives me a fun way to challenge myself, improve through practice, and experience my favorite music in a new way.

Anime and manga are a huge part of what I enjoy. Naruto: Shippuden was the first anime I ever watched, which makes it especially memorable to me. Some of my favorite anime include Jujutsu Kaisen, Solo Leveling, Attack on Titan, Demon Slayer, Classroom of the Elite, Blue Lock, Tokyo Ghoul, Chainsaw Man, One Piece, Spy × Family, Dragon Ball, and The Apothecary Diaries.

I also really enjoy romance anime, especially stories with unique relationship dynamics. Some of my favorites include The Ogre’s Bride, The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, Horimiya, and 7th Time Loop. I especially enjoy the “rich girl and caretaker” type of romance story as well. Beyond watching anime, I enjoy reading manga and exploring different series beyond their anime adaptations.

I’m also a big K-drama fan. Some of my favorite K-dramas include Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner, Crash Landing on You, My Demon, Vincenzo, Descendants of the Sun, and All of Us Are Dead. I enjoy the romance, drama, characters, and storytelling that K-dramas bring, especially when a series has a strong emotional story that keeps me invested.
